Painters burnout

Lately I've just been having a hard time with painting. Either parts break on me or I just don't like the finish I am getting on the model. This started a couple months ago after completing the GM Ground Type for the group build. I started working on a kit that I had already put together and just needed to paint it. I hated the way it looked and the finish was terrible on it. I ended up just throwing the kit away. Then my girl friend's
little sister wanted me to build a model for her. Great! But I ended up breaking it..... so I figured I would make her a new one! Well that one broke too.

I think I just need to take a break from modeling for a little while, because I've been working nonstop on pieces for group builds, friends, and personal stuff. This will be easy because we are doing renovations on our house so it should be a couple weeks before I get my work space back. I also think I will switch up what I'm building for a while. I think I'm going to work more on miniatures and scale models like tanks, ships, and planes for a while. I really enjoy the two that I built over the summer and think they would be a nice distraction from Gunpla.

I'm also going to do a third take on the model for the sister of my Girl Friend. Third times the charm right? I decided to do something totally different this time instead of doing a robot or something of the sort. Shes getting the Croak Hunter from Hordes! I had this guy laying around and decided to paint one up for her and give it a nice base. I think she will like it and this guy is metal so he can't break easily! haha

I also have a surprise planned with the other croak hunter I have..... But I can't write about that yet!
